The journal of  Agriculture, Environment & Society  (previously published under the name Journal of Emergy, Life Cycle and System Analysis in Agriculture) publishes original papers and reviews in all aspects of agricultural sciences with a sustainable development approach. It is published in yearly volumes of two issues. Subject areas include agronomy, agricultural machinery, plant protection, agricultural economics, plant breeding and biotechnology, horticultural sciences, food industry, and agricultural education and extension. This peer-reviewed journal was established by the University of Zabol, Iran, and is scientifically supported by the Iranian Society of Agricultural Machinery Engineering and Mechanization (ISAMEM). It intends to focus on capturing the current needs of the agricultural systems with the goal of advancing the well-being of the people.

This Journal, with printed license number 2821-0468 and online license number 2821-0476, was awarded the Scientific Grade (formerly known as Scientific Research). In the 2024 evaluation, the quarterly journal received a (B) grade. This information can be verified on the portal of scientific publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Iran: https://journals.msrt.ir/home/detail/17132/

All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through a trustworthy software named iThenticate (Permissible level of plagiarism is 15%) to ensure their originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by reviewers.
